Never been to a reunion. I opted for early graduation, so I'm really a 1972 H-F graduate, but the school never got it right. I am still waiting for my high school diploma. So, I answer to the class of 1972 or 1973. So far, I've only ever heard from 1973. Cyndie Carson was one of my best friends from sixth grade on; riding shotgun with her was an experience I'll never forget. Those were great years, with many brain cells used up partying. My favorite class was typing; John Baldovan and I managed to disassemble an entire typewriter one semester without getting caught. I regret never going to prom, even when invited, because my "boyfriend," who was probably one of the best guys around, was too short. I endured relentless teasing from Jay Pfeilsticker and Jay Ferris, who now is Rabbi Yehuda Ferris in Berkeley, California. (Check out his band, The Ferris Wheels!) I moved to Normal, Illinois, to attend ISU, married my best friend and greatest love, Wayne Sedgwick, in 1980, and together we had three children: Weston, Elliot and Sarah Sedgwick. In 1992 we were divorced. For a while I worked at The Pantagraph - a daily newspaper - where I met David Proeber, my husband of 19 years. I hope he's the last one. For a few years I worked in public relations at State Farm's Corporate Headquarters, then left to attend Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, where I received a Masters of Divinity in 2003, and was ordained in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).  I currently serve Church of Christ, Uniting, a small rural congregation in Lexington, Illinois. At the present time I have two goals (other than surviving the craziness of the call to prophetic and radical ministry in a farm community): hiking the 500 mile Camino de Santiago de Compostelo in spring of 2015, and publishing "The Short Bus to Normal," a collection of reflections on life in the rural midwest. In addition to ministry, I'm kept busy with continued restoration of our 157-year-old house, collaborative artistic projects with my international award-winning photojournalist husband, and promoting and booking my son Elliot's music and band, "Elliot Sedgwick and the Moonshine Pioneers." I am looking forward to the legalization of marijuana in Illinois.
